Spaceship Concept

As part of my design visualization course, the final assignment was to create a vehicle in Gravity Sketch and render it in Blender. My first thought was to make a spaceship inspired by my favorite space game "Star Citizen".

After organizing inspiration material from the internet and taking screenshots inside the aforementioned game, I started modeling 3D shapes fast. Those morphed into more sophisticated prototypes until settling on the layered whale shape.

The end result was what I like to call a luxury space camper, with an interior and landing gear. I imagined living in this ship, the interior houses three beds, a dinner table booth, kitchen, bathroom, co-pilot consoles and of course; a pilot seat that can slide in and out for easy access.

This crescendo to my formal Gravity Sketch course landed me a position as Student Ambassador for Gravity Sketch, a company that I admire greatly. I believe that VR/XR truly is the way forward in collaborative design.
