"TakeATask" UX/UI design

The goal of the preceding group work had been to research the needs of our user, as seen on the persona card I made, who tended to work too many hours without taking any breaks.

Following this, I was tasked with making a wearable and companion app design that would remind the user to take breaks in which random tasks could be done according to a prompt on the app. Hence the name: "Take A Task"

To accomplish this in my own style I prototyped different forms and color schemes which developed into the branding style you see here in the wearable and app. Models and renders were made with SolidWorks CAD, as well as the magnetic clip mechanism that requires only a slight sideways push of two fingers to take off the wearable.

I really enjoy thinking through the eyes of the user and getting to the root issue, despite the fact that I do not think we accomplished that goal as a group in this assignment. I hope to practice UX work more in future projects.
